Welcome to our Blog. Here you will find our trials, tribulations, tantrums and triumphs on our journey of discovery in the world of the Homemade, Homegrown and Homesewn.
Firstly allow me to introduce us -
Traci Cornelius – I am The mum, The partner, The Crafter, The Gardener, The Cook, The Full Time worker and The general dogs body!
I have been fortunate enough to have run my own crafting company in the not so distant past, demonstrated for some amazing crafting companies and taught many classes. Now I work full time for an energy company and yet still try do as much crafting as I can.
Sewing is something I have only recently undertaken as the mere look of a sewing machine would be enough to bring me out in hives! Yep can make practically anything out of paper but the fabric world that contains amazing, mysterious but rather scary looking machines had eluded me – that was until I decided it was high time I learnt!
Gardening, this is a passion I have had for years, unfortunatley not had a lot of time to devoute to it and although I have always grown herbs that was the length to my gardening knowledge, so yet another bullet bitten. Now we are trying to grow vegtables, fruit, flowers and generally enjoy more time in the mud! (Sorry Garden).
Kiesha Turner – The Daughter, The Cake Maker, The Sewer, The Little Part-time Cook, The Student and The Budding Guitarist.
My Mum started crafting a long, long time ago and she encouraged me to craft with her. We have made Cards together, scrapbooking pages together as well as little books and albums.
When she decided she wanted to learn to sew she asked if I wanted to do it with her and I am loving it! I have my own little sewing machine called the Elna Sew Fun and my Mum has her Elna 2800.
I recently made a key ring for my mum and now I am looking at other projects to make for my friends which I cannot wait to share with you.
